Really glad I went with Breathe Bhutan! I didn't take that much time too do research before my trip but Breathe Bhutan made the process so seamless and easy. I felt like I was very well taken care of before I even booked! The team was very receptive to any adjustments and added suggestions when needed. The team also made sure I felt as welcomed to Bhutan on the trip as a solo traveler. I appreciate every small and big effort made as it all contributed to what is truly a trip of a lifetime! Thank you Kinley, Jigme, Kiran, and Phuntsho!

Our first visit to Bhutan was well taken care of by the Breathe Bhutan team. From when we first enquired with them, they provided us with clear options to pick from (itinerary and accommodation) based on our interests, a breakdown of what the package cost consisted of, and details/FAQs which helped us understand what to expect. Communication was easy and responses were timely. During our 7-day visit, our guide Pelden and our driver Phuentsho were awesome - always giving us a heads-up such that we knew what to expect each day and each hour, which helped with planning what to wear and pack. The itinerary was well-paced, with us getting full days with sufficient rest too. We really appreciated the unique & boutique accommodation options that Breathe offered - including farm resorts with organic meals, eco lodges and a glamping experience before our big hike up to Tiger's Nest - it all matched well with our travel preferences. We felt our guide Pelden got a good reading / gauge of our interests quickly enough in the first few days to ensure we got a good amount of information and activities we'd enjoy across the rest of the trip. For us, the opportunity to be up in the beautiful Himalayan mountains was a treat in itself but our favourite times were all the hikes and nature walks we embarked on, at his recommendation :) Phuentsho was also a really safe driver who took great care of us; we likewise enjoyed his company. We'd highly recommend Breathe to anyone who's looking for an alternative way to experience Bhutan - not necessarily the ultra-luxe resorts (though of course these can also be booked if preferred) but also more unique than your typical guesthouses or standard hotels. Beyond accommodation, their attention to detail and guest-centricity was faultless!

My trip with Breathe Bhutan was absolutely amazing! I researched many companies in search of the perfect one and found Breathe Bhutan's beautiful website. They were quick to respond, friendly and made the planning process so easy. The team designed a trip specifically tailored to what I wanted to do, see and experience. Communication was great and they made me feel comfortable and confident which is important when planning a trip as a solo female traveler. Breathe Bhutan is also a Bhutan based company which was important to me to experience and learn about the country from locals. Special thanks to Kinley, Jigme, Kezang and Meena for making booking process so easy. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt like royalty. My guide, Kiran and my driver, Karma were the absolute best! I feel so lucky to have had them to guide me around and teach me about their country and culture. Kiran quickly learned what was important to me and adjusted the days to make sure I was able to do all the things I was interested in. He was truly knowledgeable and a great communicator. I enjoyed our conversations about life during our hikes. Karma was a great driver with a good sense of humor. I always felt safe and had so much fun during my time with Kiran and Karma. I had a top-notch authentic Bhutanese experience that I will cherish forever. I was able interact with locals, hike and walk the land, learn the history, eat the food and be immersed in the culture. My trip was better than I ever could have imagined. I almost did not get to see The Tiger’s nest due to zero visibility but while hiking out the skies cleared, and it was a magical moment. I left awe-inspired with a full heart and so many priceless memories. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to experience Bhutan and hope to return one day. If Bhutan is on your bucket list, Breathe Bhutan is the best choice for an authentic experience of a lifetime!

Even before my landing, Breathe Bhutan was super helpful in incorporating my needs and what I was looking for in the 10 days I wanted to spend in Bhutan. Jigme was super helpful and all the paper work and arrival permit was organized timely. I spent 10 nights in Bhutan and from the moment I landed my experience was exceptional. My guide Kiran and driver Namgey took exceptional care of me. Kiran made sure from the moment he picked me up at the airport until he dropped me that I am super comfortable and took outmost care even of the little things everyday. He was kind, very accommodating, took excellent photos of me and was so insightful on the culture and ways of living in Bhutan. Breathe Bhutan was also so kind to invite me one evening to explore the nightlife in Thimphu in the most authentic way 😊. It was an amazing to see and have great conversations with the founder itself Kinley, and learn the purpose and vision of Breathe Bhutan. I felt happy to be a part of the authenticity they bring to the travel industry in Bhutan 🇧🇹 . I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. I am so deeply grateful for the exceptional service I received every single day. Thank you breathe Bhutan for making this trip so memorable. Until next time :).

We decided on a trip to Bhutan quite late, but Breathe Bhutan we happy to create an itinerary and organise the paperwork very quickly. Once in Bhutan, we met our guide (Tenzin Chozin) and driver (Kunza) who were fantastic. Chozin was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had about pretty much any topic. We felt safe with Kunza as our driver, he clearly has plenty of experience and getting lost was never a worry. Both Chozin and Kunza were very accommodating with changes to the itinerary, happy to allow us to have extra time in some places but still making sure we got to see and experience everything we wanted. They were a pleasure to be around and made the whole trip more fun. Thank you to Breathe Bhutan and especially Chozin and Kunza for such a great trip, we'd love to visit again one day!

We did a comparison with a couple different other tour companies and are so happy with our decision to go with Breathe Bhutan. They are actually one of our favorite tour companies we've ever used! Where they stand out: providing a truly personalized itinerary based on your budget, catering to younger travelers, prioritizing the customer experience, and ensuring we were connected to the company and its employees beyond a financial transaction. We got to meet the owner, Kinley, and other members of the team for dinner while we were in Thimphu. We were inspired with Kinley's entrepreneurial spirit and his drive to better Bhutanese lives with all that he's learned. Big shout-out to our homies Kiran (guide) and Sonam (driver) for taking care of us so well! Kiran gave us Bhutanese names, played songs for us to loudly sing in the car, and even used some of his first-aid training on one of our group members, lol. Sonam was an expert driver, always kept the car clean, and was a much more involved driver than I've ever really experienced on trips like this. I will be recommending Breathe Bhutan to any friends and family who plan to visit the country! Kadinchey la! With love, Sonam B, Jigsel, and Pema

My trip with Breathe Bhutan was incredible! I’d initially planned to travel in November of 2020, but was finally able to make it this year- and it was worth the wait. The communication from the team beforehand was quick, efficient, and helpful. The planning was easy and they took the different activities I chose and wove them perfectly into an itinerary of things I wouldn’t have even known about. I loved the more local feel and activities available through Breathe Bhutan, and it made it feel like an even more authentic experience (everything from dinner and music out with the owner Kinley, his father in law, and friends, to a local school visit, to visiting his childhood home and getting to do archery, to hikes I never would have found). My guide Kiran and driver Phuentsho were amazing! I loved our conversations and they had so much to share about their amazing country. Kiran was so helpful and was able to make adjustments along the way, adding in some beautiful hikes, making sure meals were vegetarian friendly, finding places for me to get some souvenirs I was wanting, etc. I’m so thankful I had them as my guide and driver during my time in Bhutan! I hope this trip isn’t my last to Bhutan, and I would absolutely choose Breathe Bhutan again for my next trip! Thank you Kinley, Jigme, Kiran, Phuentsho, and everyone else who helped plan and make this such an incredible trip!! I’m forever grateful!

It is my second time planning for a trip to Bhutan with Breathe Bhutan. The first time was so special, which made me bring my mum to the country again. However, it was our first time visiting Central Bhutan. The process of getting a visa, booking of hotels/homestays and the booking of domestic flight are fuss-free. Jigme has assisted us in the currency exchange and prepared local currency for us when we arrive. Pelden (tour guide) and Kinzang (driver) warmly welcomed us at the airport and accompanied us through our journey in Bhutan. Kinzang is a safe driver and is always ever so cheerful. Pelden is knowledgeable and caring. Every morning, he would remind my mother to take motion-sickness pills and from time to time during the day, he would ask how she is feeling. He also ensures our safety during hikes and encourages us to hike at our own pace; to slow down and take more rest if needed. He also prepared several snacks and ginger tea for us during hikes to prevent us from getting altitude sickness. I felt very assured and trusted Pelden with my mother’s safety as he showed me that he has my mother’s back by supporting her throughout the hikes. Though the itinerary is planned, Pelden and Kinzang are very flexible with it. We manage to squeeze in a day trip to Haa town in search of a bag that I bought 4 years ago. However, as many shops had converted to cafes due to the pandemic, we were unable to find the bag that we wanted. Pelden assured us that we will likely be able to find the bag in another city. He accompanied us from shop to shop in search of the bag and we were elated when manage to find it. We also had lunch with Kinley at his residence. It was lovely as we got to interact and get to know each other personally. The homestays (Damchoe’s Homestay, and Gaselo Eco Lodge) that we stayed in are comfortable and it gave us the opportunity to interact with the host on a personal level. Hotels that we stayed in are also comfortable with friendly staff. I will continue to entrust Breathe Bhutan in planning my trips to Bhutan in the future.

I found out about Breathe Bhutan through watching Kara and Nate on Youtube. Bhutan had always struck me as a unique country among Asian destinations for its beauty, traditions, and nature. I had plan to travel to the country after finishing graduate school, however, I had to postpone due to the coronavirus pandemic. I finally had a chance to visit the country after waiting for 5 years, and it did not disappoint. My trip was fun and left me with many memorable moments. The booking process is easy. You go onto the website and send the tour company a message regarding your interest and potential itinerary, and they will respond within a day. If everything goes through smoothly, you will get your visa a couple days before the trip. I went as a solo traveller and was driven around towns in a SUV, but you can go as a bigger group and they can arrange for a bigger car. Even though there is a planned itinerary, you can always work with your guide and driver to make changes, and they are very flexible with the schedule. Accompanying me was my tour guide Pelden and driver NT who were amazing at their jobs. Pelden was knowledgeable and caring and always made sure that you were enjoying the trip. He led me through all the hikes and made sure that I was comfortable and safe. I learned a lot about Bhutanese history, religion, and culture through him. NT was fun and taught me how to play archery. He was also amazing at dart (Bhutanese dart is so different from our regular dart). I had so much fun shooting arrows, and it was definitely one of the most fun part of the trip (make sure to bring some bandages to protect your finger). Thank you Pelden and NT, Mr. Kinley and Breathe Bhutan team for making my trip happen. I will definitely come back to visit in the next 5 to 10 years and explore other parts of Bhutan.

Our trip to Bhutan was very special and felt different from any other trip we've been on. This was due not only to the amazing scenery but also to the warm hospitality we were shown by the Breathe Bhutan team (especially Kiran and Kinga, our guide and driver) and the various other people we met when we were there. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were welcomed like old friends and nothing was ever too much trouble for Kiran or Kinga. They were the most wonderful team we could have asked for - we felt like they were constantly looking out for ways to improve our experience and we were very touched by how much attention they paid to the little things we said or did, and how quickly they responded thereafter. Their personable way of relating to us left us feeling like we really got to know them as friends, and watching them interact with both kids and elderly people with so much gentleness and respect left us with such a positive impression of Bhutanese culture. We were told several times on the trip that we seemed really happy, and that we laughed a lot - most of the credit for this goes to Kiran and Kinga for taking great care of us, and for letting us feel like we were always in safe hands. Kinley also made time to meet us several times on our short trip. It's clear how personally invested he is in ensuring his guests have a meaningful time in Bhutan, and the personal touch went a long way.
