I did a 1 week tour with Breathe Bhutan two weeks ago and it was definitely a one of a kind experience. I started my inquiry just one month before the trip, and team was very quick and responsive. They crafted an itinerary and suited my interests and ability. They gave wonderful recommendations for the accommodations and activities. And I loved how they had an option for a credit card payment. It was all hassle-free because they would even book your flights and process your visa for you. And will provide you a detailed guide before your trip. I wasn’t in my best shape when I arrived in Bhutan but my guide made sure to adjust my itinerary based on what my body can handle. The accommodations were on a different level though, that it ended up as the highlight of my trip. I would always find myself getting super excited every time we arrive at a new accommodation. Homestay, eco lodge, a tent??? It was amazing! What made the whole trip perfect though was my guide Sonam, and my driver Uncle Wangchuk. From the moment I met them at the airport arrivals, up until sending me to the departures seven days later, it was all perfect. Wangchuk made sure I start my days with a heart full of gratitude and laughter and has always driven safely to our destinations. Sonam was very knowledgeable, and insightful. And since I was travelling solo, he sees to it that I’m comfortable and enjoying my trip. While a whole itinerary was already drafted, he would always ask me first if there’s anything else that I wanted to do which I truly appreciated. I think what sets Sonam apart was his willingness to help other tourists who had a bit of trouble. Overall, Breathe Bhutan didn’t feel like an agency who is just all about the transactions and fees. They made me feel like I was just planning a trip with a family that lives in Bhutan - and it was exactly how they treated me the whole time. Literally Breathe Bhutan, as you could just take a breathe and relax for they will take care of every thing you need and every thing that you might like 😉

We chose Breathe Bhutan because of their positive reputation involving trips with SMALL CHILDREN. They made everything exceptional for us travelling with children. They were really responsive to optimise the daily schedule to help our needs including the hikes. Our guide and driver were friendly, kind, genuine. They were so attentive to our kids including carrying the youngest one up the mountain hikes. Our kids loved them both and felt very comfortable learning from them and listening to the information. Our accommodations were unique small hospitable and gorgeous views homestays and were all local and wonderful. We really enjoyed staying at Mendegang Homestay and Dhurma the most. The last nights we stayed at the COMO which while was a top notch hotel also had the small feeling in thier restaurant. One of our other favourite things was that that the destinations were not overcrowded (except tigers nest). It was so exceptionally nice to travel to a place that wasn't swarming with tourists. Where we could view the local monestaries and learn the history and take photos without a ton of tourists. Our hikes were good paced, and while it took some time to get used to the high elevation our guide was attentive to our pace with the small children and planned accordingly. I am so happy that we were able to do the 4 hikes we did and my favorite was the Punakha Valley. This are was exceptionally beautiful and calm and quiet. Again there were only 2 other tourists staying at our homestay and it all feels very tranquil and secluded. Our boys favourite part was getting their head shaved at the monastery. My son was talking about it for weeks afterwards. There is really only beyond positive things to say about out 8 day trip to Bhutan with Breathe Bhutan. It is defiantly a place that I would love to go back again. Bhutan is exceptional, calm, serene and everything feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. / We loved Breathe Bhutan.

I had a short 6 days visit to Bhutan which was organized by Breathe Bhutan. They made my short visit with a memorable trip. The whole trip was well thought out. My guide Kelzang and my driver Phuentsho take really good care of all the details and make me feel like at home. I would highly recommend Breathe Bhutan to anyone who is looking to travel to Bhutan.

Breathe Bhutan gave us an immersive experience into a beautiful country filled with breathtaking scenery, friendly people and captivating culture. For our one-week visit in mid-May, Breathe Bhutan gave us a customised tour itinerary that allowed us to stay overnight in a monastery, hike in places less travelled, and beat the crowd in tourist sites. The staff took great care in our wellbeing, replying to our requests promptly and ensuring that our needs were always met. On the ground, tour guide Rattu was an excellent hiking guide, and regaled us with tales of Bhutanese folklore and Buddhist teachings during our visits to temples and dzongs. He also captured moments of our trip perfectly with his camera. Driver Jigme ensured that we got to our destinations safely, and kept us entertained with jokes. He also showed his mastery of the bow during our archery sessions, and taught us how to use the hunting bow effectively. They were the perfect companions for our tour. Thank you Breathe Bhutan, Rattu and Jigme for your hospitality and kindness!

As 2 ladies traveling to Bhutan, we felt safe and well taken cared of throughout our tour. Our guide was very attentive, knowledgeable and responsive, always tailoring our tours based on our interests. We also had an excellent driver navigating the mountain roads so expertly, we did not feel any discomfort during the long drives. I definitely want to go back to Bhutan on one of Breathe Bhutan's tailored tours.

Engaging Breathe Bhutan for our 7D6N trip was truly one of the best decisions my husband and I made. From the outset, the team at Breathe Bhutan impressed us with their responsiveness to our inquiries. They swiftly crafted a proposal that aligned with our wish to incorporate mild hikes and interaction with locals. They provided timely updates and addressed our requests as we explored various itinerary options, instilling in us the confidence that we had chosen the right agency. Throughout our journey, from the moment we landed in Bhutan to our departure, our guide Kiran and driver Kerma ensured we were exceptionally well taken care of. Their attention to detail was remarkable, they quickly grasped our dietary preferences and activity interests, seamlessly adapting the itinerary to suit our needs. Kiran's diverse knowledge in Buddhism, history, flora, and fauna added another layer of richness to our experience. His insights at each location we visited were fascinating, deepening our understanding and appreciation of Bhutan's cultural and natural heritage. On another hand, Kerma ensured our safety with his steady skills navigating the hilly roads in Bhutan. Not only did the perfect duo make the trip a joyous experience filled with laughter, but they also demonstrated extraordinary kindness by assisting individuals outside our group whom we encountered along the way. Couldn't ask for a better company for the trip!

If I could add a sixth star for Breathe Bhutan, I would. Our tour with Breathe Bhutan was quite possibly one of the best we have ever had. What a remarkable country. Being in Bhutan for 16 days, we were able to see a good portion of the country (probably more than most) - even getting to Haa, an area that apparently gets few tourists. From the moment we were picked up at the Paro airport by Pelden (guide) and Asha Wangdi (driver), we were treated to the best of Bhutan's hospitality. Pelden catered to all our needs. His knowledge of the different areas, cultures and history is amazing and he patiently put up with our incessant questions. The hotels and hikes arranged by Jigme and Kinley were special. The homestay, heritage house and eco lodge were extraordinary as were the tough hikes and overnights at a monestary and camp. Kinley's hospitality with dinner at his home in Thimphu really added the personal touch. We've even discussed returning to Bhutan for the fall festivals. I would not hesitate to book that experience with Breathe Bhutan.

5 stars for Sonam, Karma and the whole Bhutan experience. Kadinche la! Our journey through Bhutan was simply extraordinary! We were incredibly fortunate to have Sonam as our guide, whose profound knowledge of Buddhism enriched every moment. His warmth, calmness, humor, and beautiful welcome song set the perfect tone for our adventure. Karma, our safe driver, was not only skilled behind the wheel but also a delightful entertainer. We loved having them around! What truly made this tour exceptional was the bonding among us. Despite starting as strangers, we quickly formed a tight-knit group, sharing laughter, personal stories, and unforgettable moments. The drives and meals together were highlights in themselves (e.g. dinners at Gaselo and after the hot stone bath), fostering a deep sense of friendship. Bhutan itself is a gem of a country, with its friendly people, serene landscapes, and rich cultural heritage. From tranquil hikes to exploring Buddhist traditions, every experience left a lasting impression. Yet, it was the warmth and hospitality of the locals that truly made our stay memorable. While it's difficult to pinpoint specific highlights, the hike to Khamsum Chorten, with its breathtaking views, the awe-inspiring Taktsang monastery, and the first stay at Mendrelgang Heritage stand out. From the moment we set foot in Bhutan, we knew it was a place like no other. Without hesitation, we recommend Bhutan to all our friends seeking an enriching and unforgettable travel experience. We are absolutely certain that we'll return one day (e.g. to explore Laya village and other parts of the country). Thanks again to Sonam and Karma. Thank you also to the team in the office for the smooth planning. All the best from Germany, we will miss you - our chicken family ;) Monica and Philipp

From the moment we started planning our trip to Bhutan with Breathe Bhutan, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Our guide, Kiran, and our driver, Namgay, were the heart and soul of our adventure. Both of them radiated positivity and had an incredible depth of knowledge about the local culture and geography that enriched our experience tremendously. Kiran's expertise shone brightly as he guided us through stunning, less-traveled paths and shared insights that you wouldn't find in any guidebook. Namgay's skillful driving and cheerful demeanor made long drives feel short and incredibly pleasant. Together, they made a fantastic team that ensured our journey was smooth and enjoyable. The hikes were absolutely beautiful, taking us through serene landscapes that seemed untouched by time. Kiran's pro tip to start early in our quest to see Tigers Nest made the experience even more magical, giving us a sense of having the majestic temples almost to ourselves in the quiet of the morning. The accommodations were equally impressive, especially our stay in Punakha. The hotel, with its own organic garden, was a highlight, providing fresh, delicious meals that were as healthy as they were flavorful. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay did not go unnoticed. Breathe Bhutan’s team was also incredibly responsive, promptly answering any questions we had and adding thoughtful suggestions that enhanced our travel plans. Every recommendation they made was spot-on, ensuring we enjoyed the best experiences possible. In conclusion, if you're planning a trip to Bhutan, booking with Breathe Bhutan is a must. They not only promise a beautiful itinerary but deliver a personalized and heartwarming experience that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime. A huge thank you to Kiran, Namgay, and the entire Breathe Bhutan team for an absolutely phenomenal journey!
