My husband and I choose Breathe Bhutan for the five day Blissful West package. We are very traveled – with Bhutan being our 71st country visited. We are independent travelers who like the freedom of doing our own thing, but Bhutan didn’t feel like we could properly do it without a guide/driver. After much research I decided to go with Breathe Bhutan – and am very happy I chose them.

I’ve never felt more welcome to a country than we did on arrival. Our guide Rattu and driver Kinzang Tshering were amazing from start to finish! Rattu’s charismatic personality led to an instant friendship, where our time together felt more like friends than guide/guest. In addition, he has amazing photography skills – he took so many candid pictures of us during our stay and airdropped them to us on the final day.

The choice of accommodations, food and itinerary were good. They kept us busy without feeling like it was too much. During the booking process I did not want to stay at the big resort in Paro and instead suggested a small homestay and they were able to accommodate my preferences. On a daily basis Rattu accommodated our preferences – giving us multiple trekking options depending on how we were feeling that day.

There were a few special touches – we gave an offering to buddha, were given homemade wine, two wonderful homestays, and were able to put up prayer flags at Tigers nest. Book with Breathe Bhutan and get Rattu and Kinzang and you will not be disappointed!
