Although 95% of the Bhutanese population has got two shots of the Covid vaccine, for now, the Government of Bhutan will only approve visa to those who are willing to undergo a mandatory 14 day quarantine.

While a Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of USD 65$ per person per night will be levied, the Royal Government will bear the food and room charges during the 14 days quarantine period in Government-authorized hotels.

It has been indicated by the Tourism Council Of Bhutan that Bhutan will not lift the mandatory quarantine until 2022. If the saturation improves, the quarantine will be lifted by January 2022 and Bhutan will be fully open for travel.

We will keep this post updated as thing evolve.
